Gerstlauer Amusement Rides GmbH is a well-known, highly-esteemed German designer and manufacturer of amusement rides - a recognized leader specializing in the fabrication of Roller Coasters, Giant Wheels, Dark Rides, Wooden and Steel Coaster Trains, and Flat Rides. Gerstlauer's reputation for quality is well known throughout the amusement industry.
 
Gerstlauer Amusement Rides was founded in 1982 by Hubert Gerstlauer, a former senior manager of the famous Anton Schwarzkopf company. In that capacity, Mr Gerstlauer was responsible for designing the control systems, as well as overseeing the installation and commissioning, of all Anton Schwarzkopf rides during his 14 year tenure with the company. After leaving Schwarzkopf, Gerstlauer designed and installed electrical and pneumatic systems for several German ride manufactures, including Zierer, Schwarzkopf, and BHS.

In 1992, Hubert Gerstlauer purchased the former production facilities of Anton Schwarzkopf, also gaining some of the most experienced personnel in the industry. Gerstlauer rides are "moving the world!" The Gerstlauer team consists of 40 dedicated employees utilizing the most advanced CAD systems and manufacturing processes.
